100% Pure British Alpaca yarn 100g Fawn

This stunning natural fawn yarn is 100% pure British alpaca, from our alpaca farm in West Sussex.
The fleece is processed in the UK at East Anglia Alpaca Mill in small batches so we can trace each yarn back to the individual Alpaca it came from.
No dyes or chemicals are added so colours are completely natural.

This yarn was shorn from Vogue in April 2021.It takes Vogue a full year to grow a fleece long enough to be sheared and then made into yarn.During that year Vogue spends her time being lovingly cared for on our peaceful farm in West Sussex.Vogues fleece is undyed, completely naturally processed with no chemical treatments. Alpaca fleece is hypoallergenic, water resistant and has a natural crimp, making it a naturally elastic yarn well-suited for knitting.

Born August 2014, Vogue won Champion Fawn Alpaca among other awards in 2015 for her colour and finese. Since then she has had 5 cria many becoming Champion Alpacas themselves. Vogue is one very special Alpaca, she is our herd matriarch, an amazing caring mum with a gentle nature and of course an exquisite fleece.

Our yarn is DK knit 100g balls with 242m per ballAlpaca fleece is hypoallergenic, water-resistant and has a natural crimp, making it a naturally elastic yarn well-suited for knitting.
