Alpaca Christmas card
Our Fawn Alpaca Christmas Card was designed by myself from a photograph I took this summer, of our lovely Fawn Alpaca Elegance.
Elegance was born in 2020 and is a gorgeous curious lady who loves to have her photo taken!
Even though we have nearly 150 Alpacas every one of them has a name.
Each year we choose the next letter of the Alphabet and name all the alpacas born that year starting with that letter.
Then it’s quick to know from their name which year they were born and how old they are.
Alpaca fleece is incredibly soft and cosy, it’s also hypoallergenic and water-resistant. So makes an incredible fibre to use for clothing.
Our alpacas are sheared each year and their fleece is used for yarn, clothing, and many more luxury items.
The neck and leg hair of the alpaca has the same qualities as the blanket on the back of the alpaca but its shorter and can be courser, we use this for bird nesting. Which the birds absolutely love. This brings in nesting birds to your garden, which during the early months of the year is fascinating to watch.
I used my skills with photoshop to design the card and am delighted with how it turned out.
The card comes in a red envelope and is packed inside a seethrough sleeve.
I will be adding to our card collection soon, so do come back for more if you like what you see!
