Description
These are handmade environmentally friendly, hypoallergenic 100% alpaca dryer balls. An amazing alternative to the chemicals of fabric softeners or dryer sheets for softening clothes, reducing static and wrinkles.
We recommend a minimum of three balls but a set of five is recommended to generate maximum effectiveness while absorbing moisture from the wet clothes and maintaining interior dryer humidity. Please note price is per ball.
Our Eco-Friendly dryer balls are handmade by ourselves from 100% natural un-dyed alpaca fibre from our herd of alpacas in West Sussex.
The dryer balls can help you reduce drying time by up to 25%, saving time and money.
Instead of the wet clothes remaining in a clump and drying from the outside in, the dryer balls will bounce around inside the dryer, separating the various items and creating space between the clothes for better air flow.
Natural alpaca captures more heat. So they then act like heat balls to decrease drying time.
The dryer balls vary in size but they are approximately 70 grams, and about 7cm in diameter.
Non-shedding hypoallergenic, un-dyed, chemical-free fibre to care for your skin. Dryer sheets are not needed. Perfect for babies & sensitive skin.
Care
For your first use, run the dryer balls through a dryer cycle with wet towels. The balls may initially become “hairy.” (They will not shed on your clothes). Carefully trim off the fuzzy hair with a pair of scissors, and they are all set. Over time, the balls may “pill,” which is normal. You can shave the pills off or leave them alone. If cleaning the dryer ball becomes necessary, run under hot water, add a drop of dish soap and rotate ball between palms until lathered, rinse in warm, then cold water. Air or machine dry.
How to a scent to your dryer balls:-
Apply several drops of essential oils to scent your dryer balls. When using essential oils, we recommend sending the dryer balls through alone on a short cycle, or place them in a closed pillowcase in the dryer after you first put essential oils on them. Otherwise, you may get oil spots on your clothing.
Love these!
I put them straight in my dryer and they have been there since. I definitely notice the reduced drying time. And I love they are from West Sussex and eco friendly! Definitely recommend
