Your yarn is blended from Alexander a white male Alpaca and Debutant a black female Alpaca to make a stunning Grey.
It takes a full year to grow a fleece long enough to be sheared and then made into yarn.During that year Alexander & Debutant spend their time being lovingly cared for on our peaceful farm in West Sussex.
Their fleece is undyed, completely naturally processed with no chemical treatments.
Alpaca fleece is hypoallergenic, water-resistant and has a natural crimp, making it a naturally elastic yarn well-suited for knitting.
This beautifully soft Grey yarn is 100% British alpaca, from our alpaca farm in West Sussex. The fleece is processed in the UK at East Anglia Alpaca Mill in small batches so we can trace each yarn back to the individual Alpaca it came from.
No dyes or chemicals are added so colours are completely natural.
Born July 2010, Alexander has a gentle character and a beautiful white fleece. He is a very laid-back boy, to the point of sleepiness and stubbornness when on the halter.
Born March 2016, Debutant is a stunning black Alpaca who has won championship awards for her black fleece. She is a lovely lady and she knows it!
Our yarn is DK knit in 100g balls
