While Alpaca fibre is similar to sheep’s wool, it is warmer, smoother, not prickly, and has no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic.
Alpaca fibre is naturally water-repellent and very easy for birds to make into cosy nests.

We have a large herd of award winning stunning alpacas, born and raised near the south downs in West Sussex.
Our alpacas are carefully sheared once a year in spring. We mainly have black and brown alpacas but do have fawn as well.

You can then reuse the holder with fatballs for your birds in winter.

Expect to see an array of birds in your garden such as; Great Tits, Chaffinches, Robins, Wrens and Nuthatches – who will be attracted to your new, bird nesting holder.
