Bird Nesting in recycled holder – Alpaca Fibre 100% British
£7.00
Description
Description
Our recycled bird feeder is filled with beautifully soft Alpaca fibre, perfect for attracting nesting birds to your garden.
The holder is 24cm x 6cm x 6cm and made from recycled drinks packaging.
This holder is pre filled with Alpaca fleece and is re-useable for fibre or 3 fat balls..
While Alpaca fibre is similar to sheep’s wool, it is warmer, smoother, not prickly, and has no lanolin, which makes it hypoallergenic.
Alpaca fibre is naturally water-repellent and very easy for birds to make into cosy nests.
Put your Alpaca Fibre in your garden from as early as February to attract nesting birds to your garden. Then sit back and enjoy watching them. Your fleece hanger can stay out all year long, however over winter we recommend swapping any fleece left with fat balls.
We have a large herd of award winning stunning alpacas, born and raised near the south downs in West Sussex.
Our alpacas are carefully sheared once a year in spring. We mainly have black and brown alpacas, but do have fawn as well.

My friend and I bought one each of these at The Garden Show at Firle yesterday. Never seen.such before.
I hung one on my tree this morning…..not long after blue tits and sparrows pulling hair out! Brilliant buy. Blackbird on watch so maybe him next.
Thank you.x

We bought these at a recent show and put one out in the evening, by our bird feeders, pulling out the fibre to give the birds a start – and the next morning we watched a Sparrow grabbing beakfulls of fluff and flying off with it. A day or two later we noticed a Blue Tit doing the same (and we don’t often see the Blue Tits!) I wasn’t sure if the birds could ‘land’ and hang onto the container (we hung it on an archway with branches nearby which is where they took the fluff from the first morning) but we’ve since seen the Sparrow, at least, ‘landing’ and holding on with his feet! Yes, it was the male – maybe the males share/do the nest-building?!
The only complaint is, I was going to buy a couple as gifts but you’re Sold Out currently!

Thank you so much for your lovely review. So glad the birds found the fluff so quickly and making great use of it. The recycled will be back in stock today 🦙🦙🦙
